Pennsylvania Dutch Green Beans - print recipe

Ingredients:
 
3   strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 sm onion, sliced
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1   -1lb. can cut green beans
2 tsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Dry mustard
20 ml vinegar
Method:
Brown onions and water chestnuts slightly in hot bacon fat. Drain beans, saving 1/2 cup liquid. Mix liquid with remaining ingredients and add to onion in skillet. Cook, stirring until mixture boils. Add beans and heat thoroughly. Serve garnished with crumbled bacon. Four 1-cup servings
