Ingredients:
 
1.5 kg onions, sliced
1/2 cup shortening
40 ml paprika
1   clove garlic
2 tsp caraway seeds
20 ml marjoram
20 ml salt
20 ml lemon juice
1.5 kg beef, cubed
1/2 cup cold water
20 ml flour
2 tsp tomato paste
Method:
Saute' onions in fat. Add 1 tablespoon paprika, and all the garlic, caraway, marjoram, salt, and lemon juice. Add meat (do not brown). Simmer; covered for 2 hours. Skim off fat. Blend in remaining paprika, flour, water and tomato paste. Simmer 15 minutes longer, allowing to come to a rolling boil.
