Rice with Almonds and Raisins - print recipe
 
   
 
Yield:
Ingredients:
 
20 ml Unsalted butter
1 cup White rice
1 cup Water
1 cup Low-sodium chicken broth
40 ml Slivered almonds, toasted
40 ml Golden raisins
1/2 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Black pepper
Method:
1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over moderate heat.



2. Add the rice and stir to coat.



3. Add the water and broth, bring to a boil.



4. Reduce heat and simmer, covered for 20 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed.



5. Remove saucepan from heat, stir in in almonds, raisins, salt and pepper.



6. Divide rice among the freezable containers. Let cool.
