| Method: |
Wash peaches, cut in half and remove stones. Combine 1 cup sugar and the water in a saucepan; bring to a boil; add peaches and apricots and simmer for 10 minutes, or until peach halfs are tender. Remove peach halfs; drain and skin; allow apricots to cook in syrup for 5 to 10 minutes more, or until tender. Drain.
Boil prunes in syrup until swollen and tender; drain. Chill
Peel, slice and cut pineapple into segments after removing hard core. Hull, wash and cut each the strawberries in half. Sprinkle strawberries and pineapple with sugar and chill.
Wash black and green grapes.
Combine all fruits in a glass serving bowl; add canned figs and garnish with blanched almonds. Pour over cooled fruit syrup.
